With the completion of the school’s new purpose-build makerspace for primary school, new administrators, and the creation of a new position in our school — head of experiential learning — it’s the perfect time for a new start. Nothing is clear yet. Perhaps we can change the schedule, the units, the model, the vision. We have a rough plan for combining our open minds experiential learning program with STEAM, but due to the current covid-19 restrictions in place, we can’t experiment yet. In fact, due to the pandemic, both myself and the open minds coordinator have been temporarily redeployed. The only certainty is that we can change.

So, a fresh start. But for now it’s all about waiting…
